An industrial distillery for the Medronheiro processing and storage is currently in the planning phase.

With processing of the Medronho fruit, Corte Velada will become a local producer of authentic and high quality products for both national and international markets.

The Medronheiro fruit might be processed into several refined products, such as the famous "Aguardente de Medronho" (Medronho Spirit Water) and other products already planned for in the research and development centre. The facility will also ensure proper storage and preservation of the harvest and products.

The distillery will include exhibition spaces and showroom for the presentation of the Medronheiro and its characteristics, as well as the overall afforestation project and the research on this old native species.
